Updating Your Email Software for Illinois.edu

Everyone on the Urbana campus with a NetID@uiuc.edu email address now has a new NetID@illinois.edu address.

To start using your new address, you will need to make a few changes to your email software.

If you use the Express Email web interface

Change your From: address

Users of the Express Email web interface will have their From: address automatically changed to their new email address on July 14, 2008.

But if you want to get started using your new address before then, you can change it manually:

Change your signature

(Note: Please change your From: address before you change your signature.)

If you have your email address in your signature, please change it to your new address.

Change your filters

If you use filters to organize your email, you may need to update them to accommodate the new email addresses of campus personnel.
